LaHavane is a collection of standout pieces inspired by the founders’ native land of Havana, Cuba. Launching the line in 2016, Idalia Salsamendi and her mom received quick praise in the fashion industry as their designs have been organically seen on the likes of top it-girls like Chriselle Lim, Danielle Bernstein, Chrissie Fit, and Caroline Vreeland. In April 2018 they were featured in Vanity Fair Magazine. Other notable appearances have been made in Harper's Bazaar (online), People Style Magazine, and The Hamptons Magazine. They have been noted to not only hand-make their jewelry, but also to travel the world in search of the most exceptional pieces as well. Both are intentionally and mindfully curated online for all to wear and enjoy.
A percentage of all proceeds goes to various charities around the world including City of Hope, St. Jude, and Everytown.
Next on their list is ensuring their packaging is eco-friendly and sustainable. This mother-daughter duo believes that the true key in maintaining a successful business is to be socially, ethically, and environmentally conscious.
